MOST- DFG Call for 2019-2022 Joint Research Projects: Deadline: 2018/11/30
Eligible Applicants:
Taiwanese applicants shall be principal investigators conducting MOST research projects (academia-industry collaboration research projects and MOST planned-and-promoted projects excluded).
Subject areas: All fields of basic research
Application Period: from September 1, 2018 to November 30, 2018
Project Duration: from August 1, 2019 to July 31, 2022
Funding:
Applications can only be funded if they are approved by both the DFG and MOST. Once a project is approved, the two parts of joint project will be funded separately by the DFG and MOST. Depending on the actual need of the add-on grant, the Taiwanese applicants may apply for the following subsidies:

Business fee:

Pay and temporary wages for full-time and part-time assistants
- Consumables, articles, books, and miscellaneous expenses
- Fees for visiting foreign scholars

- Research equipment fee
- Overseas travel expenses
Sum of the annual add-on grant and the annual budget of the applicant’s ongoing research project shall follow the principle of not being less than NT$1.5 million.
How to apply:
Project applications must be submitted concurrently to the DFG (German team) and to the MOST (Taiwanese team). German applicants must prepare their proposals in accordance with the DFG Application Guidelines ((http://www.dfg.de/formulare/50_01/50_01_en.pdf), while Taiwanese applicants must prepare their proposals following the rules of MOST.
